If I dream about people who are in my life at this moment, I'd consider that differently from people who are from my past or are very unimportant parts of my present life.

I dreamed that my boss offered me a raise  The first place I'd go with this dream is to ask my self if I feel I deserve a raise and consider that the dream is telling me it's time to ask for it now.

I dreamed that I was back in the first job I had when I left school and I asked for a raise. This may well be about your current job but it may be telling you some other things (from where you are now, how do you view your life after you left school ...).

I dreamed I went into work and there was a complete stranger who was my boss. I asked him for a raise. I'd again consider whether it was time to ask for a raise but I'd also consider my relationship with authority. That perhaps I was becoming more secure in my own right...
